Hazards of the 21st Century: Smoking

Here are the facts about smoking. It is a good time to understand its the hazards.

Do you still think that the most important health problem of this era is cancer, aids or other viral or bacterial infections like Ebola or killer flu types? To some degree, and as a real health problem, the answer is yes. However, in my opinion, addiction is more critical than all of those.Especially smoking addiction.

Once you smoke a cigarette, you think that this is just only one cigarette and this will be your first and last one. Story starts with this trivial sentence “I will never be addicted to smoking because I know my self and trust me”. However, you are a heavy smoker after two or three years. You start looking for way to stop smoking. You probably will be in activities about non-smoking and spend extra money to do.

At first, cigarette seems to be a good friend. This may be true for your libs but not your lungs. It takes long time you realize the fact that it is not a friend but enemy and a great hazard for your overall health. Well, when and how does the story end? It ends when you learn the unavoidable fact of suffering lung cancer in a hospital room.

In cigarette smoke, there are many hazardous elements such as nicotine, tar and noxious gases. In addition, tar includes four thousand different chemicals. Unfortunatelly, most of those chemicals are either toxic or noxious. It is also known that forty three of them cause cancer or malignant tumors or at least trigger the growth and spread of them somehow.

Smoke also includes carbon monoxide which inhibits the blood's ability to carry oxygen. Nicotine, the addictive part of cigarette, is actually a poison which kills anybody has overdosed it. It increases the blood pressure and as a result hypertension and heart palpitation.

Consequently, it damages the veins in brain, heart and lungs.

If you still think that life is invaluable and your body is nothing for you, go on smoking. However, if you think reverse, now is a good time to leave your bad habits. Break your chains and care your heart and brain.

Do not forget; “Brain is for thinking, heart is for loving, lungs are for breathing, but libs are only for kissing.”

Smoking is so bad for you. I think there is a lot more education about it now and I'm hoping this helps more people from wanting to start. Great article.

The real question is why does it seem hard to live a good healthy life?

No, I don't smoke. My dad did and he was a doctor. Go figure.
