Quitting is easy, if you mentally and physically do it right. Always stay positive, never look on the negative sides, or difficulties, just focus on the benefits! Don't make ANY excuses. Anyone in the world can quit, even if they've been smoking their entire life. Believe that you can quit, and quitting will be simple.

Make lists in your mind why you want to quit, and repeat them whenever want a smoke. Such as, think of all the money I'll save, all the extra sleep I'll get etc.
Research has shown that doing a daily exercise program will have a much higher quitting rate. A small walk, jog or bike ride will make a huge difference. Drink heaps of water and get lots of rests. As you start giving up smoking, you will become quite stressed, and exercise is one of the best.

Try to avoid things that you associate with smoking. For instance, if you always have a cigarette when you have a cup of tea, drink juice instead! This will help the cravings of smoking.

A great way to quit, is to convince some of your friends to quit smoking too. As a group, you can encourage each other, and advise each other. This also pressures you to quit much faster.
