Smoke and Mirrors 1

A funny look at the problems smokers have dealing with addiction.

I am a smoker and have been for over thirty years.  People seem to think that smoking leads to stupidity.  We are constantly reminded of the fact that smoking leads to cancer among other diseases.  We are also told where we can and cannot smoke.  I’m personally tired of it.  Cigarettes are taxed, and anyone that pays billions as we do should be telling others where they can or cannot smoke.  Hold on a second, caughing up a lung, ok, better.

My lungs are as black as coal, and need I remind you all that black is beautiful?  I also have shortness of breath an early sign of emphysema but with the pollutants already in the air, who needs full deep breaths anyway.  Does not the Guru in India take very short breats?   My fingertips are permanently stained brown, but my suntan complements the color so well.  My teeth are also nicotine stained but ultra white teeth is for phonies. My teeth are real people, real brown that is.  With all the talk of second hand smoke I just do not get that at all.  I always have and always will smoke using only my right hand.  I never use my other hand.

Ok listen up.  I know that what Sir Walter Raleigh brought to us was a foolish treat and he was a huge smoker and died at a very young age but he was decapitated by a human hand not a cigarette.   I also am sick and tired being told that my oral fixation is silly.  Hey I could smoke cigars and that would be silly.  They stink and personally think that women are the ones that should be smoking them.  That’s so sexy baby, smelling like a used sock that has been storing behind the dryer festering in worm duty, my, my, shall we dance by the light of the silvery smoky room?

Of course I am making light of a real deadly situation and no I really don’t smoke.  The fact is that we are all going to die someday whether we like it or not.  We can get hot by a bus tomorrow and whatever our vice is it is a choice.

People with a personal attachment to many things are usually the ones speaking out on these same subjects.  People that have had bad experiences with what ever it is they had it with are usually on a band wagon someplace. The daughter that has a drunk for a mother or father is there in our face telling us that drinking is not good to do.  The drug addict usually has someone that is set dead against that addiction.  Look people anything can be deadly whether it is candy, soda, food or heroine. Anything can kill you if done to excess and moderation is definitely the key.

We must have some fun before we die, that is a given.  If we are against eating sugar, certain foods, drugs, smoking or drinking then all we can do is sit here and wait to die in boredom or of it.  We are told that eggs and red meat is not good for us but yet five years later we are told that there really good for us.  Sugar is good.  One sixteen calorie spoonful is ok just don’t pour a half of a cup of coffee with eighteen tablespoons.  Moderation is the way to go. We only live once so let’s make the best of it.

Ok, so in conclusion, I quit smoking weeks ago but I still hang with the gang that does.
