Smoking Can Cause Birth Defects

Smoking habit can create long term damages, not only to those who smoke but to fetus as well. The inhaled smoke when enters the body travels fast to the bloodstream which can create serious health problems in the future including the risk of lung disease for the infants.

Smoking is one of the many health hazards being monitored by all medical practitioners and the adverse effect it can give to users. In fact many conservatives proposed to ban smoking as it propel danger to the future generation. Inhaling the smoke into the lungs, according to some studies conducted, is a quick way of delivering toxic materials into the body as it rapidly penetrate the blood stream. It triggers chemical reactions in the human nerves that ended up in the brain.

Smoking can accelerate the normal process of aging it can cause premature wrinkles on the face and skin. It makes the skin old and rough. Smoking impairs blood flow to the skin that makes oxygen and other important nutrients difficult to travel. It blocks the absorption of important vitamins such as Vitamin A, E and C which are useful in maintaining healthy skin and textures. It also damages collagen in the body- the fiber that gives the skin its elasticity and strength. It can create unwanted odors of the mouth and the brownish color around the lips and gums.

The smoking habit can endangered the formation of fetus inside the womb. According to some health journals, even for males, this theory is applicable since the formation of the fetus comes from the blood cells of both parents, if the bloodstream is contaminated with alcohol, cigarettes and other illegal drugs, it can affect the development of the fetus. The long term result of this hazard is a poor health condition of the infants.

The serious health hazard that a smoker may face are the following:

  1. Lung cancer
  2. Heart attacks
  3. Impotency
  4. Strokes
  5. Low birth weights of infants born by smoking mother or father
  6. Low Sperm count for men that sometimes lead to sterility
  7. Infertility for women

It is a wise move to stop smoking before its too late, long term health risks and other complications due to smoking is a serious problem in the society. Man and woman who are planning to start a family should quit this unwanted habit to obtain healthy children in the future. Smoking in general can contribute nothing to over all wellness, plus the fact that cigarettes is an expensive habit, it is a risky lifestyle. Well, there's a saying that goes “If you are determined to build a family which is a small unit in the society, it is but otherwise to behave sensibly with a right choices of habit for healthy lifestyle for a habit becomes a character ”.

Stop Smoking to embrace a bright, happy future with a healthy family and environment.

i think i will agree with this article because i am one of those million people who hate cigarettes.It can cause bad breath and i don't like talking to people who smoke.
