I watched the Oprah's show last week on Hallmark Channel. That episode is very education. I could not imagine that smoking can make our body features ten years older. Dr. Mehmet Oz gave the viewer some tips on how to keep our body strong and healthy.
Tip # 1 Anti-oxidants
We can find these from fruits such as berries, and we can also find these from tea, red wine, and a glass of grape juice. It is very important because it cleanses away the toxins and renew our dead cells. I prefer grade juice than red wine because I don't want to take any alcoholic content beverage. Strawberries and blueberries are special fruits which has lots of anti-oxidants. Four cups of tea would be nice because it flushes away the fatty acids.
Tip # 2 Rosemary
If we have this herb on any dishes, it helps us to focus or concentrate on what we are doing. It keeps our mental state alert.
Tip # 3 Olive Oil
Dr. Oz suggested that we would use olive oil such as a dressing for salad. If we use it for cooking, we are loosing or dilluting the essential oil that is needed for our body.
Tip # 4 Exercise
Cardio exercise thrice a week, and regular strengthening exercise to boost our immune system from stress.
Tip # 5 Multi-vitamins -DHA- Vitamin D
We get Vitamin D from the sun every early morning to keep our spirituality and energy alert, and keep our mind on focus. We can also get DHA from fish but spirilina algae can be the best source of DHA. Multivitamins help to keep our immune system healthy from any kinds of common diseases.
Tip # 6 Meditation
Writing journals and prayers can calm our mind and relaxes our lungs. Those people who have regular yoga exercises have these benefits of keeping themselves healthy and young.
Tip # 7 Fibers and Rest
Get enough rest or sleep with 7- 8 hours. Don't be so stressed. And, fibers can be accumulate when we eat vegetables and fruits. Dr. Oz recommends psyllium husks to washes away the toxins in the intestine. You mix it with one glass of water and drink it right away.
Tip # 8 Sex
I think this would be the last number that connotes the word sex. This is for those who are having partners in life. When they are having sexual intercourse, they have chemical mixed and combine and healthy for the body. And, the movements makes our heart healthy because we get exercised when we are having sex.
Conclusion
I think there is nothing bad if we listen to the experts like Dr. Oz. Since he is a medical practioner, we can assume that he knows what is best for us. I am at the right age and I know that this topic is right for me. I don't consider the religious background of the speaker since the topic is about physical or health benefits. We should not be biased when we are going to choose what kind of media we are going to absorbed if we are considering all sorts of background. We are living in different parts of the world, and we are having different types of cultures.
