These are list of herbs and what we can benefit from them.

Agnus Castus fruit also know as vitex, chaste berry, chaste tree or monk's pepper. It can alleviate many menstrual problems including PMS. It can counter the unpleasant symptoms of menopause, hot flashes, night sweats and anxiety. Agnus Castus can also stimulate the production of progesterone. It is also effective in reducing fibroid tumors and it can increase milk production for nursing mothers, but before using it, check with your physician first.

Agrimony which also known as sticklewort or cocklebur has a very strong astringent which is useful for many cases of bleeding. It can restore tone to the intestine and stomach. It can also be good for hemorrhoids, athlete's foot, insect bites, and sores.

Alfalfa leaves also know as Lucerne has beta-carotene and vitamins and other nutrients. The leaves can help you gain weight by stimulating your appetite. It can also ease lower back pains, relieves constipation, treat acute or chronic cystitis and relieve inflammation of the prostate. It can alleviate symptoms of rheumatism and arthritis. It can also increase production of milk for nursing mothers.

Almond oil and kernel can be made into shampoos, soaps and skin moisturizers. Almond oil can also reduce cholesterol levels if used for cooking.

Aloe Vera has many varieties. Only the juice in the leaves is being used. If aloe Vera is taken internally, it can be a laxative and it's also a restorative to the liver. And if its take externally, it can relieve pain and promote healing to minor burns, wounds and any skin irritations. Pregnant women should not take Aloe Vera internally as it causes miscarriage.

Angelica leaves and roots is an all around tonic. It can improve circulation and it can regulate menstrual cycles. It has a warming influence in the body and if you have colds, cough, flu and fever, it can reduce any congestion to your lungs. Angelica leaves and roots can also relieve stomach cramps, indigestion, gas, and heartburns and can ease rheumatic pains. Pregnant women should not take this herb internally because it may cause miscarriage. Diabetics should also not take this because this may increase the sugar in the blood.

Aniseed is a good remedy for gas and colic, it is also a good aid for digestions. It can relieve nausea, bloating, belching and stomach cramps. Aniseed is also a treatment for coughs, colds, and bronchial infections. It can increase milk production for breast-feeding mothers. It can also treat lice or scabies infections and bad breath if you chew a few seeds.

Arnica is also known as leopard's bane or wolf's bane. The parts that is used for healing is the flower heads. Arnica can help heal any bruises, aches, strains and swellings that are painful. It can also be used as a treatment for inflamed joints that are caused by arthritis, rheumatism and phlebitis.

Artichoke stems, leaves and roots can be eaten if they are fresh steamed. They enhance liver functions and it is even used as a treatment of chronic liver disease. Artichokes can also reduce you cholesterol level if you don't spread any butter on it. It can also be a good treatment for kidney diseases, diabetes mellitus and atherosclerosis.

Asparagus Roots is a restorative tonic for the female reproductive system, it can also enhance fertility, relieve menstrual cramps, and increase breast milk flow for breast-feeding women. It can also be an effective urinary tract infection treatment and even kidney stones. Asparagus roots may even relieve painful swelling that is associated with rheumatism, it can ease bloating and it is a good tunic for the lungs, making this herb useful in alleviating some of the wasting symptoms of tuberculosis and AIDS.

Astragalus roots is a valuable tonic to increase energy and resist diseases. It can help activate your body's natural immune system. Astragalus is sometimes given to patients that are undergoing chemotherapy.
