Whitening Your Fingernails

If you don't have the time or the money for a professional manicure, try these suggestions for removing stains and dirt from your fingernails.

Clean fingernails and trimmed nails is a sign of good hygiene. While men are less likely to consider the care and cleanliness of their fingernails, women notice. A well-manicured hand is necessary in a number of business fields. While you may not be looking to whiten your nails, these tips will work well for cleaning stains and dirt from them as well.

If you have stains on your fingernails and want to remove the discoloration, try soaking your hands in a warm water bath that includes effervescent denture cleaner. Allow them to soak until the effervescent bubbles stop bubbling. The denture cleaner will whiten and brighten your fingernails in no time.

If you don't have access to denture cleaner, you can use whitening toothpaste. Apply it directly to your nails, allow it to sit for 15 - 30 minutes and then wash in warm water while scrubbing tough stains with a gentle brush.
