Do You Really Want to Endanger Your Child?

Warming food up in the microwave may not be a good idea.

Have you ever though whether it's healthy to warm up food in the microwave or not? How can you be so sure that it won't do you harm or to your child?

Warming up food or whatever in the microwave seems to be the easiest way nowadays. Most people don't have much time for cooking and the most common solution is to warm up “cook” the food in that tinny magical box but is that healthy?

I know we've all heard food from the microwave isn't that healthy and some people even say that now there are microwaves that do not produce that radiation or only in so small quantities that it is not dangerous but I tell you it is dangerous. The radiation may not seem to be big but it does have a negative effect on our body. Each little radiation destroys our cells and we may not notice it now but believe me or not slowly with the years it has a bad impact on our health.

Do you really want to endanger your baby and heat up the food in that "box" just because you have no time to prepare food or warm it up at the stove? You should think about what you might do to your child.

As I said it does cause little radiation that in the long run is not good for anyone. I do not want waste your time so here two little suggestions which you have already heard a thousand of times!

Suggestions

  • If you have baby food in a bottle, keep e.g. one bottle outside and not in the fridge if you know that you will feed the baby with the food the same day, if you know what I mean? This way it will not be that cold and the bottle with the food can warm up itself at room temperature.
  • Cook food on the stove even if it takes longer, it is healthier. Try out something new, buy yourself a new cooking book and try to cook meals on the stove.

I do not intend to change your habit or your life-style. I only want to make you think and provide you with some food for thought!
