The gel that promises deliverance from aids comes from a type of algae called "Dictyota pfaffi" that Brazilian researchers have developed with the aim to block the sexual transmission of HIV. On testing over the last three years was 95% efficient on the first phase.A second phase of testing will begin on February on on mice and live cells from the cervix.Human studies would start in 2008.
The gel made from a substance taken from "Dictyota pfaffi", a type of algae found on the Brazilian coast, it's a big hope for the future and reaserchers belive that could be put on the market in seven years time, with a efficiency above 50 percent.
Well,it remain to be seen if this gel will work in the future to give us hope that aids in the future will not be something as terrific as it is today.
