Diabetes: Live in Acknowledgment, Not Denial

Diabetes is a disease which generally results from overindulgent lifestyles. Sometimes it can be due to hereditary vulnerability.

Diabetes results from insufficient production of Insulin. Insulin is a hormone secreted by the Islet of Langerhans in Pancreas. It helps blood to carry glucose to the cells. In absence or owing to the lack of Insulin, glucose cannot be carried to the cells and hence remains in the blood. This increases the level of blood sugar to harmful zones causing Diabetes.

Diabetes is a disease which generally results from overindulgent lifestyles. Sometimes it can be due to hereditary vulnerability. While indulging, people do not realize the metabolic reverses that they build up. With time, this results in various cardiovascular symptoms and increased accumulation of toxin. To worsen lives, it may also lead to the breeding grounds of diabetes.

Diabetes stunts body Responses and also ramifies into weakening other body parts. It affects the kidney adversely making it prone to failure. A diabetic might suffer from serious reverses of the nerve. A diabetic has to take complete care of his or her feet. A small blister might develop into as big as septicemia. This is why a diabetic also has to adhere to a neurologist, chiropodist and a renal therapist in general.

Gestational diabetes in pregnant women is a great cause for complication. It not only makes a mother vulnerable but also causes accumulation of blood sugar in the placental walls thereby making a child susceptible to multiple harms.

Diabetes can be ably fought. All it needs is care and moderation. A patient has to live in acceptance and thus eat in moderation. Overindulgence can exacerbate the condition of a diabetic patient. Further, diabetes patients are recommended to go for moderate exercise regimens. This can range from 30-40 minutes four times a week. Those with prior cardiac symptoms and blood sugar levels above 300 are asked to refrain from exercises.

Insulin injections have been a great line of treatment. They at least alleviate the life-threatening impact of the disease. The injections answer best when taken in the belly region. In terms of expeditious response, belly is followed by arms and then thighs.
