Obesity

Detailed information on obesity.

Obesity is a major concern in parts all over the world. It has rabidly increased in all ages over the last few decades and is thought to continue to increase with more then 50% of Australians being classed as obese in the year 2025.

Obesity is a condition in which a person is fat or overweight. It is caused when a person has an imbalanced energy intake. It is also caused when a person does no or little exercise. Genetic and environment also plays a role in gaining weight but the main causes are an imbalanced diet and little exercise.

In 1995 data was collected which indicated the increase and severity of obesity. The data collected showed that 21% of boys between 2-17 were obese and 23% of girls between 2-17 were obese. Kids aren't the only ones with a high obesity percent. In the year 2000 67% of Australian men were obese and 52% of Australian women were classes as obese.

To lose weight all you have to do is do the opposite of what you do to put on weight. Have a balanced energy take in and do a couple of hours a week of exercise. Even going for a walk around the block would contribute to losing weight.

Obesity is a major problem in not just Australia but also in other places around the world. Australian obesity percent is raising an annual rate of 1% a year but if you do regular exercise and have a controlled diet you can prevent getting obese.

Well, the problem is that most people don't want to do that.
