Peanut Allergy Symptoms That You Should Know

Allergies are from the foods that we eat, from chemicals that we use and sometimes from polluted surroundings, like the air we breathe.

Allergies occur when we eat something that our body mistakes as a harmful substance. Would you believe that peanut, can trigger an allergy? You heard it right; peanuts can be a cause of an allergy.

This little peanut if consume by a person with an allergic reaction or known to have allergy, that person's life could be in danger. However, there is nothing to fret about if you know you have peanut allergy. The best thing to do is avoid eating peanut or any food mix with peanut.

If you are not sure that you have peanut allergy and you encounter some of the doctors given peanut allergy symptoms, then you are one of those people who have this peanut allergy. These peanut allergy symptoms depend on how severe your allergy is.

It ranges from mild to life threatening. For people with mild reactions, they will experience stomachache, skin rashes, hives, prickly lips or tongue and a runny nose. These are the peanut allergy symptoms that someone might encounter if trigger with only a mild reaction, which are very diverse with those who have severe or worst cases.

Although they might also experience symptoms that people with mild cases have, there are additional peanut allergy symptoms they will encounter. For severe cases, expect having a tight throat, which can lead to difficulty in breathing, hoarse voice, vomiting, diarrhea, coughing and abdominal pain. These symptoms may start to appear after a few minutes or hours after eating peanut or food with peanut contents.

People with severe cases should avoid any peanut products; this allergy especially with severe cases can take ones life. An anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction cause by peanut that can be a life threatening for people with worst peanut allergy.

Its symptoms are having a very low blood which is considered dangerous to any one, swelling of lips and other parts of the body, and dizziness that can lead to loss of consciousness. If left without treatment, it could result to demise.

Peanut allergy symptoms usually occur few minutes to several hours after eating peanut.
Therefore, it is better to consult a doctor or an allergy specialist to make sure that you do not have allergy on peanut before eating it or any peanut food product.
