Wondering how a hyperbolic feminist and chauvinist would react to the proposition, nevertheless, the first thing that dawned on me after reading (and rereading) is that I am female; a hardcore, self-sufficient, and a somewhat peccable woman who is prone to having Alzheimer's. If I have made The Notebook my religion, why not? Sadly, to have Alzheimer's has been a problem over the decade hitting 26 million people, and half of it are from Asia. But then again, I am Asian.
When will this end?
No.
When will Alzheimer's hit me?
In 1906, German neurologist Alios Alzheimer described the brain of a deceased female named Auguste. In her later days, she showed signs of disorientation and extreme incoherence. "Prematurely senile" he said, "for a woman of 51." Later, her condition worsened. Comatosed, she died at 55. Afterward, Alzheimer dissected her brain, and found it disheveled and extremely shrunken. There were plaques and tangles, and enough said. I do not have intentions to bully Auguste's history. But what is happening? How come brains of Alzheimer's victims happen to display some sort of an internal ashtray? Is it not modern studies show that our brain is capable of neurogenesis? Does that mean the brain has the capacity to act rotten before us rotting?
Questions. Argumentation. Debate.
That is what Solomon and Murphy have come up a rationale that reviews the futuristic cases that aim and focus the early detection and treatment of Alzheimer's disease, and proceeds later with propositions including the whats and whatnots of Alzheimer's disease. I guess people wouldn't want a terminal malady going chronic, thus such a discussion has come to administer.
I am female. I am Asian. Is it, therefore, I am Alzheimer's? No way. Waking up one blazing indigo morning, and forgetting that I have gone back to school is not Alzheimer's, rather it is an issue with setting your priorites. To slur lamely on a thursday night that had resulted a hyperacidity comeback is not Alzheimer's, it is stupidity and irrational intoxication.
And Alzheimer's is not an alibi to begin with.
