What's in Your Cigarette?

A few chemicals that are put into cigarettes.

What's in your cigarette? Have you smokers ever stop to think, what's in this thing? Well, they are lots of different chemicals in the cigarettes. Here are only a few:

  • Ammonia:

    Ammonia is generated by fish urine. Yuck! Who would want urine in their mouth? It helps you absorb the nicotine, and makes you addicted.
  • Arsenic:

    This is a deadly poison. It burns your lips, and gives your breath that bad smell. It is not addictive.
  • Benzene:

    Benzene is a chemical that causes cancer. This chemical is used for detergent, pesticides and gasoline.
  • Honey, Chocolate, and Vanilla:

    They uses these common foods are added for flavor and a pleasing taste for little children.
  • Lead:

    Lead stunts your growth, that's why most smokers are short. Lead also makes you vomit. It can as well hurt your brain.

These are only a few of hundreds of different chemicals in cigarettes. So next time you go for a smoke, think of what you are putting in your mouth!
