As we move into the season of fall you no what that means. Bright pumpkins, changing leaves and a refreshing change of temperature but for the shopping addict it means fashion paradise. Trends come and go however these fall basic fashions are worth the extra money spent because they are considered to be timeless.

Since these fashions never go out of style, you can probably afford to splurge a little while getting a good quality piece. The fun part is that you can take these classics and mix them with the hottest trends to create a fashionable and contemporary outfit. From the little black dress to the trench coat these classic pieces will never go out of fashion.

The Little Black Dress

A simple black dress is a must because it is so versatile. With a simple black dress as your canvas, you are able to add the hottest fashions trends as well as accessories creating an endless array of possibilities. The dress does not have to drain your bank account as long as it is plain black any type will get the job done just as effectively as a pricier one.

Black or Brown Calf-High Boots

Whether they are in black or brown, calf-high boots are so timeless. They look amazing with a pair of jeans, trousers, skirts or dresses (no matter what the hemline is doing this season). Of course boot trends come and go as with most of the fashions however go to any store especially during the fall season and you will find a pair of calf-high boots. A basic trench coat in a nice black, chocolate or camel is so classic. Unlike some of the coat and jacket trends, this style has staying power and fits every shape and size. Whether it's a day at the office or a night out for a special occasion, it is perfect for every important event. The basic trench coat also works well with trendy scarves and bright handbags.

The Sheath Dress

With this one you can combine two must haves, if you buy a little black sheath dress. If you want some color, go with the basics like red or navy because they will carry you from year to year. You may also have fun with bamboo or satin fabrics. The current hottest fashion is green appeal so put on some kicky ankle boots so you'll look like you are from in the year 2008.

A Good Pair of Trousers

A causal grey, black or brown pair of tailored trousers that fit you right are essential for any work wardrobe. Not all of the latest trends are appropriate for the work setting or the office. If you like to experiment with different styles, you can also try pairing these trousers up with a plaid coat or funnel neck sweater in burnt orange which is one of the seasons hottest colors.
