Let me say before you exercise be sure to check with your doctor. It would be a good idea to have a checkup to make sure that exercising for you is okay.
Now I am not talking about strenuous activities. You don't have to go crazy with exercise. Contrary to what you have been taught it doesn't have to hurt to get the benefits of exercising.
Any activity or exercise you decide to undertake start out slow don't hurt yourself. A little exercise each day or a couple times a week can bring great benefits.
Walking - Walking is a great exercise. Just walk normal you do not have to walk fast or jog.
Jogging actually is not as good cause it can put a strain on your feet from the pounding of your feet on the pavement. If you want to make walking even more fun walk with a friend or spouse.
If you have a dog this is a good exercise for you both. Set aside a a little time each day like early in the morning or early evening. You can walk year round you don't have to wait for warm weather. Just make sure you dress accordingly to the climate.
Swimming - Swimming is a an excellent activity. Cause a few minutes of swimming exercises you whole body. Of all activities swimming is the best. If you have access to a pool or lake take advantage of it. If a gym has a swimming pool is worth joining just to be able to do a few laps in the pool regularly.
Treadmill or ski machine - Some machines you purchase for home use are very good some others are not so good. Make sure you do your homework in purchasing any home gym equipment. Remember the main purpose is to exercise a little not hurt yourself.
Organized team sports - You can join a bowling league or softball team. Playing a sport you love is a great way to exercise just make sure not to over do it. Make sure you get the proper equipment for each sport so you do not hurt yourself like elbow pads and knee pads.
Basketball - You can put up a hoop in your driveway and just shoot baskets its a great exercise not only are you having fun but your exercising.
As I said earlier exercising does not have to hurt to benefit you. If the only thing you did was walk a few miles everyday. I lost 90lbs just walking 3 miles a day. No joke.
You can do these things too. Take your life back and exercise some each day. It only takes a few minutes to hour each day to being more healthy. Start today.
