Eight Ways to Stop a Craving

We all have our New Year Resolutions to lose weight this year. What exactly keeps us from accomplishing our weight loss goals?

I believe it is the relentless cravings that surface once we commit to stick to a specific diet. They taunt and tempt us to be bad. Although, cravings seem to linger forever the average craving only really lasts 10 minutes. So, despite cravings hardcore reputation they can easily be put in their place.

There are eight ways to stop a craving. The first way to stop a craving is to drink lots of water. This will expand the stomach muscles and make the craving disappear. Poof!

The second way to eliminate a craving is to wait it out. Stay busy for the next 10 minutes when you get a craving. Listen to a favorite song or call a friend. The time will fly by along with the craving.

The third way to stop a craving is to whiff a green apple, peppermint, or banana the scent can stall a craving.

The fourth way to stop a craving is to pinch the triangle of cartilage where the ear meets the cheek with your thumb and index finger for 30 seconds. This is your appetite control point and it can end cravings.

The fifth way to prevent a craving is to brush your teeth, floss, and rinse with mouthwash. The minty feeling will stop any craving.

The sixth way to terminate a craving is to take a daily magnesium supplement of 400 milligrams. It can curb the craving for chocolate within a week.

The seventh way to halt a craving is to have plenty of tryptophan-rich foods such as oats, almonds, warm milk, and turkey.

The eighth way to stop a craving is to jog or run in place for three minutes. Not only will you burn some extra calories but you will instantly stop your craving.
