Getting fit isn't easy but it doesn't have to be torture and the benefits are great. If you get fit you will feel younger and look it; you hugely decrease your chance of getting heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure etc. There are three main objectives you have to achieve in order to get fit. I will list these main categories in separate paragraphs
The first and most important aspect of getting fit is to improve your Cardio-Vascular capacity in other words make your lungs bigger so you can get more oxygen into the body. The best way to do this is to go running. I would recommend 3-5 twenty minute runs, a week as this will dramatically improve your Cardio-Vascular capacity; swimming is also a great for improving your Cardio-Vascular capacity. If you smoke try to stop smoking or at least cut down on the amount of cigarettes you use.
The second aspect of getting fit is to eat healthily, this need not be torture I don't want you to go crazy about your diet just follow these simple guidelines. You should be eating 5 fruit and vegetables a day; some protein; lots of carbohydrates; not to much fat but a little is good and one or two dairy products preferably yogurt.
The third and final aspect of getting fit of improving your fitness is strength. This is the least important but can still help you feel great. I simply recommend you go to the gym for one hour a week to improve your strength.
