Getting fit after pregnancy is what every woman desires to do. It is also what every woman dreads. After a long day, and most often night, who has the energy to work out? If you are anything like myself, your biggest concern is losing that added belly fat. I was never able to juggle my busy day with the baby and make time for myself to work out. I started to do sit-ups with the baby and it worked wonders. It works out your tummy and your bottom.
First you lay flat on your back. You put your legs up in the air with your knees bent. Your calves should be parallel to the floor. Lay the baby on their tummy on your legs. Normally this is a great exercise for when they are small and not too wiggly. Keep your ups up around the baby's shoulder for safety. Slowly do sit ups and kiss your beautiful little one. To add some extra difficulty or variety to this you could straighten out your legs with the baby on them. Do this about ten times to really work your lower abdomen.
I noticed after a few days that my back would hurt less when carrying the baby and it really helped me to build my stomach muscles. My shape started to come back and I had more enthusiasm to do more exercises as well. I had so much fun doing this exercise with the baby. It gave me the time I wanted to just stare at him and remember his sweet face. It was really a great time to bond with the baby
