How you go about with gym etiquette.

How do you go about with gym etiquette? As a newbie on a gym it is likely that posted signs on the gym should be read, the schedules, the instructions (usually instructions are reminders of what gym goers are to do inside the gym) and observation of how to go about inside the building itself.

Being new, questions as well as hoping to have a friend in the gym class raises high hopes in a newbie, don't you worry, in time people with the same interest will be brought together by circumstances so just go about, relax and do what you intended to do inside the gym: Exercise.

In a gym, it is already understood that everybody can use the equipment that is in there, there is a non verbal rule, (an invisible code of etiquette) that one is to take care of the equipment as if it is their own, and after using it has to be proper in returning it where it is placed (you are not at home, so put it back where it belongs) , There is also a non verbal rule of waiting in line, if the equipment you have to use is used by the other gym goer, then wait in line, you don't own the equipment so wait for your turn (if you want to use that thing next time, be early!).

Do not be over to friendly, people inside the gym exercise for fitness, and this is a personal thing. This is a serious thing to do, and it is not easy to be talking and lifting at the same time, so do smile, but not too friendly.

Ask the right person. Try to see if there are attendants or instructor in the gym that could assist you. One instructor usually is given to a new gym goer but if ever you were not given, ask for one.

Have your own locker, this is personal. Do not be too trusty, people going in the gym comes from different environment and needs, do not try to tempt them with your things in view (you might get what you don't want to happen!). Prepare your own towel, bath soap or other personal accessories to your body in your bag, although in the gym you are provided with a clean one (I hope so) you might want to use your personal towel for your bath after the gym.

So we go now in the actual lifting or doing the exercise on the gym. Be choosy, don't just jump on any equipment that is vacant, look at it, is it clean? gym machines too gets dirty or "sweaty" so check first.

Maintain a so called "personal space" if the place is too crowded, then go to other exercise that are spacious. Observe! listen to your instructor and do it patiently, these instructors are professionals so do follow what they say to avoid injuries. Do not envy people who have nice bodies already, if your really serious, you can have that figure too.

And lastly, how to go about with Gym etiquette?  It is in you,  just be proper and observe and sooner you'll get the hang of it.  So happy lifting!
