The sound of music can be heard through anything within the interest of the person listening to it. In training we hear all kinds of music Opera, Rap, Metal, Indian, Native American ect. When you listen to something it either gets you excited and ready for battle or it just keeps you calm, relaxed and flow.
In the gym you would mostly hear metal cause the roar of the riffs and heavy drums just gets you pumped and wanting to do heavy weight and you can't help but feel psyched. When you're at home working out it's a totally different atmosphere, you're on your own listening to what you want and what you want to do. I like to listening to metal cause it makes me feel good deep inside myself to push harder beyond my own limits.
Put into the fact that no matter where we go no matter how bad life makes us feel, pop in your favorite music and just crank it up and do some push-ups, squats, pull-ups, gymnastics, weightlifting and trust me this makes up for your bad day cause after working out for a while and the music is playing you'll feel a sense of relief and your stress levels will sink. Do this every now and then and feel that sensation of livelihood.
