If you want to make sure that you stay in tiptop shape, the best way to keep yourself on target is to keep an Exercise Journal. In this simple exercise journal, you write down what you accomplished in terms of exercise. Like the example below.

By writing the information down, you show yourself that you accomplish something. If you track thinks such as the time it takes to accomplish the cardiovascular tasks you can work to become better.
If you have a goal to run a mile in so many minutes you should include that to be written down in your journal. Any exercise goals you have such be included in your journal. The great thing about writing down your goals and tracking your counts is that you can use this information to make you do better.
For example if you want to be able to run 5 miles but are only able to run 3, then you know that you want to try to get a little farther every time you go out on that run.
If you have not exercised in a couple of weeks and you open your journal, you may also feel guilty because you have not been working toward your goal. How important you make the journal to yourself is how important the task is to you.
