Wii: Friend or Foe

A description of the danger of game systems. And the goodness of exercise.

The average Wii contains the power to give any family countless hours of fun and excitement, but is it enough? Most families today don't spend enough time together, instead they spend all their time before to TV playing Wii, GameCube, Playstation 1,2,and three. I agree that it is fun but it always leaves me feeling sad for the rest of the day. I believe that, no it is a proven scientific LAW that says that exercise and a balanced diet is good for you, not only that but it makes you feel good. I don't mean running around the track 100 times, jogging around the Block 50 times.

I mean going outside and enjoying your self, if it means Skiing, Swimming, Running, Hiking, playing basketball, bowling, fishing, walking, rock climbing, snowboarding, baseball, softball, the sports just keep on coming. I am not trying to just get you from completely dropping the remote and selling all your gaming stuff, I mean to limit time spent in front of the TV.

The other problem is that the games cost around 40 dollars that is no small amount, and that every 2 to five years they come out with a newer better one that you have to buy within a year to be able to find games for it. Take a look at the Playstation, I became obsolete four years ago. Then Sony came out with a newer shiner version the Playstation 2, It lasted four years, know they came out with the Playstation 3. Don't forget the Xbox, that one was the worst you could not find games for it in as little as 2 months. As before skiing and other sports never go obsolete and the best part, they are free.
