Scientifically proven ways to increase your life span and general health significantly.
Living at higher altitudes. Proven to work and is why people living in Asian mountains such as the Himalayas never die of old age.
Being optimistic is proven to prevent early death by as much as 50%. This is why celebrities live to be so old.
Owning a pet is proven to reduce stress which is good for the brain and is very good for preventing tumors
Keeping within the recommended body mass index range is obviously good for your health. Being to fat wears your heart and lungs out. Being to skinny weakens all the organs.
100 to 200 laughs (depending on the person) are just as good for your heart as 10 minutes of jogging
Eating organic food is why the French live so long. Avoid processed foods and instant meals.
Sleeping less is actually good for living longer. It may not be good for growing children and teenagers though. Sleeping less than six hours a night is needed for a significant change. This is probably the method which makes the most difference.
Having a lot of sex can make a difference to your looks and life span of around seven years. It is good for the heart, decreases stress and makes you sleep better.
Eating antioxidants is a very well known method. The best foods and drinks for this are red wine, dark chocolate, blueberries, avocado and garlic.
Activities that challenge the mind like jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, crosswords, mazes, quizzes, math, reading and games like chess are very good to keeping your brain exercised and lowering stress.
Short simple, very informing, to the point, i like it.

The suggestions SOUND nice, but are poorly researched and the explanations don\'t make sense. For example:
Tip #1 says \"...this is why (mountain people) never die of old age\" Well then, what do they die of? Isn\'t dying of old age the ideal way to die, rather than by cancer, stroke, etc...?
Tip #2 says that optimism is why \"celebrities live to be so old\"...\". This has got to be a joke. Hasn\'t this \"author\" ever heard of Marilyn Monroe, Gilda Radner, Audrey Hepburn, etc...? The list could go on. They died early.
Suggestion #4 is tough to read, due to poor spelling: \"Being to fat...\" should be spelled as \"Being too fat...\"
Suggestion #7 is incorrect. The author says \"...sleeping LESS than sleep hours is needed...\". PLEASE! What kind of medical journal did this come from? In reality, sleep experts say 6-8 hours is optimal, while more or less is not.

Sleeping less does make you live longer i just looked at it on google. It is bad for you but you do live longer. The author is right!
Your comment about celebrities is stupid because most celebrities die old you just named 3 exeptions.
You think your so smart pointing out 'poor spelling'! You're not perfect either because that was a grammer mistake not a spelling mistake. So shame!
Fair comment about dying of old age but the article isn't called 'The best way to die!'

Re #1, how do they die then? [Phil's comment is logical]
