Choosing A Sun Screen:
When choosing a sun screen choose something with the highest SPF and UV protection. I and my family using a SPF of 45, but you have to apply it every 30 to 56 minutes (Even if its water proof).
Sun hats and long sleeves are also good protection. But when it is hot out side it would be uncomfortable so always use skin protection.
Information:
Some people say tanning beds are safer then laying out in the sun. But that is not true, it is actually more harmful then the sun. They both can cause sun burn and they both have harmful UV and UVB rays. But it is worse in tanning beds because it's more concentrated and it's right there less then 8 inches away from your skin. It would be safer to get spray tanned then to lie out in the sun or go into tanning beds.
Tanning in anyway ruins you skin and make your skin age faster then it normally would, plus you have more of a chance of getting skin cancer. Remember the more you tan or the more you are in the sun the more wrinkles and skin damage you will have and you have the risk of getting the most common cancer.
Signs of Skin Cancer:
The most obvious thing is a mole that doesn't just look right or a reddish area of your skin that's exposed to the sun a lot that has bumps or even a sore that has not gone away and has a sunken in middle.
Remember, if you have anything that looks abnormal go see a doctor to get it checked out.
