Caffeine is the most widely used drugs on the planet; it is consumed into our bodies through a number of sources that include coffee, tea, chocolate, and soft drinks to name a few. In scientific studies caffeine has been proven to increase alertness, give a “wake up “effect, increase blood flow, respiratory rate, and metabolic rate for several hours.
In the first source , the researcher learned that caffeine is found all over the world in more than sixty different plants, seeds, and fruits. In this source I learned how caffeine affects the body, what food and drugs contain caffeine, and how caffeine is related to health.
In the second source, the researcher found out that caffeine has been proven not to stunt the growth rate of humans. This is important information to the researcher because he is testing how fast it takes a plant seed to germinate, and this has to do with development (or growth) of plants.
