If your having your teeth out at the dentist because there isn't much room in your mouth or for whatever reason and you think it may hurt I am here to tell you how it is so you're not afraid.
- At first they will get anaesthetic into a needle and they will gently insert it into your gum or wherever necessary, for me this is the worst bit. It hurts a bit but it's only 10 seconds pain (don't be scared when I say ‘pain' it's really not that bad). They will do about three injections, the worst one (not everyone has it) is on the roof of your mouth but still it's a small pain.
- Now they will get the instrument they use to take your teeth out (meanwhile the anaesthetic will be working and you won't be able to feel anything on the area of the operation). They wiggle around in your mouth and surprisingly after 10 seconds your tooth comes out with no pain at all, literally there is no pain its great! When I had my tooth out they took it out and it fell on my tongue which was quite disgusting!
- I advise you to arrange this operation on the weekend because after it's quite irritating, you're mouth will feel 100 times bigger because of the anaesthetic but it's not. You will be advised to take pain killers because a lot of the time you will feel aches in your mouth. They will also advise you to keep your sugar levels up which is a perfect excuse to ask your mum for a pound or whatever to get you a drink!
- In some peoples cases it bleeds from time to time if this happens just get cotton wool and put it next to your bleeding tooth
