Living a healthy lifestyle will bring you happiness, health and the life of your dreams. You can fit into your favorite pair of jeans again. You can enjoy all the benefits that perfect health offers you. You can feel your best at all times of the day.

To help you in your journey to reach and maintain perfect health, a great diet, and exercise routine is a list of tips and ways to keep yourself living the best life you possibly can.

  1. Curb your hunger cravings: Many times people snack because they are actually thirsty. Before you reach for a bag of chips or that candy bar, pour yourself a full eight ounce glass of water. Drink it slowly and wait about fifteen minutes. You will be surprised that for the most part your craving will have disappeared. Our bodies often tend to crave something sweet when we are actually dehydrated. Save your body and your waist line by turning to water first.
  2. An apple a day: Yes, just what the doctor ordered and the nutritionist. One great way to make sure that you do not over eat is to eat an apple or two before every meal. An apple is very healthy and can help fill your stomach and nutritional needs. It will help you feel fuller and less likely to overeat.
  3. Just do it: Good old Nike knew what they were doing when they came up with that slogan. There is no better time than today. No better moment than right now, to simply lace up and hit the pavement. Go for a jog or even a brisk walk. Do whatever you can, but get your body in motion at least three times a week. You deserve the body and health of your dreams. It is up to you to make it happen.
  4. Eliminate fatty foods: Yes, yes we all know this is important, but how many of us actually take the steps to do it. And, why don't we do it? Many people think that healthier food options will be bland and tasteless. This does not have to be the case for you! For example, you can exchange creamy high fat and high caloric dressings with highly flavorful and spicy salsas. Find fresh salsa that is low in sodium or make your own salsa recipes. The ingredients are all exceptionally good for you and leave a savory flavor in your mouth. You can also exchange many things like sour cream and butter with yogurt. Yogurt is rich in calcium and great for strengthening bones in addition to offering other great health benefits.
  5. Listen to classical music: Studies have shown that classical music not only nourishes your mind and spirit with intricate, perfect crescendos much like the way watching the ocean waves crash along beautiful beach shores can instantly soothe and calm one's demeanor, it has also been shown to effectively improve one's mental capabilities. You can nourish your mind in much the same way with other sounds like nature recordings of the rain and wind and even through alternative methods. For example, try hemi synchronization tapes.
