Good health is necessary for happiness and success. Health is wealth. Those who do not possess good health cannot enjoy any happiness in life. Life appears to be a burden to them. Now a day's youngsters, who work hard for long time with computers, have stress and tension. Their hypertension without dedication of the service results in heart attack. In this case, a large number of youngsters suffer a lot. One comes to know that through the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations Research indicate that an increase in workplace stress affects employees' health. In fact, Information Technology and similar sectors characterized by long hours without rest, night shifts, mental confusion, excessive workloads, suppression of happiness, increased volume of seriousness, sedentary life style drive the young employees into the stroke, heart disease, back pain and other life style diseases among employees.

It is, under survey, found out that employees at 25% percent take leave due to sickness. But a few companies provide preventive health care measures. The workplace of to day differs from what it was in those days even through the nature of an employee's work remained the same throughout the years. But job-risk has become complex. Advances in technology have only added to the complexity.

Employees of today have to bear heavy responsibility to work for long hours and activate things like Internet, cell phones, fax, xerox, scanning, internet chat and computer typing operation. It makes it possible for them to remain connected to their workplace anytime and anywhere. To-days workplace where employees work for 7 hours with sedentary jobs, stress laden work, pressing deadlines and accessibility to high fast foods at office food court make up all the classic causes of heart disease-stress, head ache poor eye, sight and stomach pain. Employees feel stressed out under the work pressure. At the same time, they do not share suppressed feeling with other co-workers.

They do not approach their boss who is already overworked, because employees feel that it would be unfair to take their problems to the knowledge of boss.

In dealing with the work, companies or organizations should implement work culture policies like flexible time options, telecommuting and improving work life balance for employees. There is no denying the fact the workplace stress negatively affects productivity and importantly increases organization's health are costs. Organization should take care of the following for the healthy administration through healthy employees.

  1. HRD should counsel the employees and try to take remedial step for their grievances
  2. Work should include interesting and high priority tasks
  3. Sharpening one's communication skills reduce stress to a large extent

Stress is a central factor for employee's unhealthy condition. To avoid stress, organization may relax working hours and provide a lot of benefits as the employees expect such as tour arrangement, get-together party and counseling center and so on. If the organization takes involvement in the affairs of employee's healthy conditions, the workplace will be production of best performance by employees.
