How to Brew a Healthy & Tasty Cup of Green Tea

Green tea can be a healthy and delicious alternative to coffee. Here's how to maximize its taste and health benefits.

Green tea is a healthy and delicious alternative to your daily coffee routine. How about brewing a hot steaming cup of delicious green tea? The powerful antioxidants in green tea can reduce your risk of a variety of diseases including heart disease and certain types of cancer.

Enjoying a delicious glass of green tea can be a delightful experience you'll want to enjoy frequently. Why not brew a large pot so you can enjoy the many benefits of green tea throughout your day? Brewing a pot of green tea doesn't have to be a time consuming or complicated if you follow certain guidelines. Here are some suggestions for brewing the perfect cup of green tea:

To maximize the health benefits of green tea, brew your tea using loose green tea leaves. You'll get a higher quality cup of green tea with a better taste as well as a higher amount of antioxidants when compared to using tea bags

If you use tea bags, give your tea bag maximum room to move during the steeping process. Use a large ceramic or glass teapot with lots of open space for maximum movement. This helps to give the best taste and maximum antioxidant content.

To maximize flavor and antioxidant content, and antioxidant content, Use one teaspoon of loose green tea leaves for each 8 ounce cup of hot water.

Pour it over your green tea leaves as you normally would. Allow it to steep for 30 seconds and discard the water. The water you discard should contain most of the caffeine. Add more hot water to your green tea leaves as you normally would. Your green tea should now be 80% caffeine free. Now, it's time to enjoy a delicious and healthy glass of green tea. That wasn't so hard, now was it?
