Is Too Much Sex Good for You?

Did you know is it too much sex is good or bad for your health?

When talking about a person who (let's not say addicted) has a strong fondness for sex, most of us would say that he's a sick person. However, contrary to popular believe, sick people don't have much sex life.

As I was watching The Oprah Prime Time Show, one of her regular guest, Dr Mehmet Oz recommends couples to shag more than 200 times a year to stay healthy. That's an average of 4 times a week. The reason behind his recommendation is based on a clinical finding, that a person who gets more than 200 orgasms a year can increase his/her life span up to six years!

Dr Oz also mentioned that first of all, to know the general condition of your body, is to see your own sexual desire. A healthy sexual appetite means a fit and healthy body. As an example, if you're able to have a strong erection, it means your heart is working well. And if you can get the little guy up, well, it's a sure sign that something is wrong with your heart.

Apart from the above, we know generally that frequent sex is good for the health. To name a few, these are the benefits; lower mortality rates, reduced risk of prostate cancer, improves posture, boosts self esteem, makes a person feel younger, firms tummy and buttocks. Keeps spouses connected emotionally, offers pain-relief, gives people a positive attitude on life, reduced risk of heart disease, makes a person more calm, improves fitness level, makes a person less irritable, reduced depression as well as improved sense of smell.

Looking at the facts, we now know that there is no such thing as oversexed or too much sex. Therefore, if you ever have a spouse, other half or just a casual sex partner who finds you wanting too much sex, more than they can offer, just say that you're not addicted to sex, you're just addicted to your health; you want to keep it at the best condition all the time.
