Are they really healthy to use? Well I believe they aren't because with salt tablets you may absorb too much salt which can provide health problems. This is because they can be overdosed if not properly used. A better replacement would be sports drinks which provide salt but in minute parts compared to just consuming salt tablets. People use salt tablets in the first place because sodium is lost through sweat during exercise and this needs to be replenished. Salty foods are also better than salt tablets as they are also harder to overdose on salt as well. So if you are thinking about taking salt tablets for a marathon or something, think again, but if you are really determined to take them, always take them with water.
