Simple Ways to Improve Your Health

Eat well, sleep well, play hard, and think about what you are doing. These are all the things you need for a good life.

When you are at the top of your game, life is great and you feel unstoppable. These four simple things will help to keep that feeling alive. It is all about your attitude to life and living. Keeping in good health will ensure that you are physically able to cope with the challenges that life will throw your way.

Drink Plenty of Fluids

Fluids cleanse out the toxins in the body and starting the day with a glass of water with a dash of lemon juice will definitely give you a head start. This will help your metabolism function better and keep your skin glowing.

Have Five Servings of Fruit or Vegetables Every Day

Make sure one of the servings is from the super food group. Super foods are full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals like potassium. Antioxidants will keep you fight the aging process and make you feel better. Super foods are things like Avocado, Mango, Papaya, Strawberry, Banana, Sprouts, Brocolli or Beans.

Keep Mentally Stimulated

Read a book or learn something new. Keep the mind active by learning to do something you have always wanted to do. Having something to look forward to each day will brighten your outlook and keep you younger because you have a goal. We all know that you must finish a task, once you have begun.

Smile

Smiling improves skin tone, your attitude and the way people respond to you. It is difficult to be angry when the person next to you is happy. It is also very appealing when a person has a bright smile. To feel confident when smiling use a toothbrush that has a tongue cleaner on it to refresh the whole mouth. Keep some sugar free gum handy to freshen your breath, as you need it. These items will help and if you use the new "whitening" gum and toothpaste, you will feel perfect.

How true, if we would follow through. I know what a serving is but I must say I add a little to it sometimes. Best wishes, Ruby

Very good...Lucy. I like your approach and philosophy. It is simple and straight forward. I would like to add daily Omega-3 to keep things right. Well composed...as usual. Thank you.

Most of us forget that when we talk about health its both physical as well as mental. Being mentally fit and active is as much a part of health. Simple and well-written article.
