  1. Mix It Up

    Every meal should include these five elements: lean protein (chicken or low fat dairy), fibre (whole grains), complex carbohydrates (fruit and veg), healthy fat (olive oil) and fluids. One food can tick several boxes. E.g. an apple provides carbs and fibre.

  2. Stick To Low- GI foods

    Foods such as porridge oats, whole grains, fruit and most vegetables won't cause dramatic changes to your blood sugar levels, keeping you feeling fuller for longer.

  3. Eat Smaller Portions

    Each meal should be no more than a bowlful.
  4. Exercise Five Times a Week

    Start with five minutes of cardio, such as running or brisk walking to get your heart pumping, then work out for three five-minute sets using hand weights. Finish with five minutes cardio.
  5. Once A Week, Cheat

    Eat the foods you really want. An occasional splurge on calories when your dieting convinces your body not to go into ‘famine mode' and keeps your metabolism revved up. Enjoy a glass of wine it's banned otherwise!

  • Think about sex in your lunch hour

    Getting in the mood early on in the day make it more likely that you'll have sex that night. People who have sex more than twice a week live longer than those who don't. Fact.
  • Make plans.

    Want to cook more healthily or give up smoking? Plan simple steps to help you achieve your goal, such as buying a cookbook, or getting some nicotine patches, and schedule one step every week.
  • Floss.

    Flossing daily can take six years off your biological age, as the bacteria causes gum disease and also causes heart and circulation disease.
