Anger Management

Anger is an emotional period that changes in intensity from small problems to extreme anger and rage. What anger management is trying to accomplish is to improve your psychological way of dealing with anger and control your emotional feelings.

Things, events, or people that make you angry are called your anger triggers. The way that you deal with these anger triggers is called your anger style. Both anger triggers and anger style differ among different people. You can not prevent yourself from getting angry, but you can control how you deal with your anger. These are some facts about anger management.

Solving and Improving Anger Management

There are a lot of ways to help you with anger management. There are three steps to help you deal with anger. Step one is don't lose your control. Step two is to realize what is making you angry or your anger trigger. Step three is to take action or to find a way to control your anger. If these steps are followed you will be able to control your anger much more. Step three can be accomplished by using humor or comedy can help lower your rage and anger. Breathing deeply can also help decrease your anger. You may also repeat a relaxing word or phrase such as “calm down.” Visualizing a calming time or experience can help reduce your anger and rage. You also can use “silly humor” in order to decrease your amount of rage. Many people say that letting your anger out will help reduce it, but this is false. Letting your anger out through physical activities or similar ways is proven to only make it worse. If none of these things help you, you may need to see a professional or psychiatrist through therapy. These are some ways to help solving and improving anger management.

Interesting Finds

Some interesting facts that I learned are that close to twenty percent of Americans have such high levels of anger that it could turn into a potential health threat. Nearly eighty percent of people have experienced road rage, office rage, or other kinds of anger management problems. There has also been an increase of seventy-one percent of people with anger management problems now since 1990. This means that four out of five people have reported some kind of anger management problems and one out of five people's anger management could turn into potential health threats. There are also about seven more people out of ten with anger management now that did not in 1990. These are some of the interesting facts that I learned about anger management.
