Defeating Depression

To defeat depression, we must defeat our negative thought patterns at their root. I know personally this can be easier said than done. But in order to do so we have to make a commitment to want to get better.

We can start with simple affirmations such as the following:

  1. I think positive thoughts and I become positive.
  2. I believe I am getting better and better all the time.
  3. I trust in God, I leave him my worries and anxieties and receive freedom from negativity.

We must reprogram our thinking and think positive thoughts, leaving our worries and burdens to God to take care of for us. He never intended us to shoulder those heavy bundles on our own. Let this be your prayer:

"Father God, Please take these heavy bundles of worries and anxieties from me now. I realize that I can not and am not meant to handle them on my own. I thank You for the weight I feel lifted from me as to take away my troubles and bless me with Your peace. Thank You, Father."
