I enjoyed reading your article. The main concern with the fruits is that of pesticides and chemicals being used in agriculture which poses a health hazard.

Pesticides are a concern for me also. The organic section at my local grocers are getting larger all the time, thankfully. I have found one or two local growers at my farmers market that I have visited and trust are pesticide and chemical free, but I can't say that about all of them. I planted a garden this year, hoping for watermelon, pumpkin, corn, carrots, raddish, broccoli, raspberry and tomato. It was interesting keeping the bugs away chemical free, but not hard. Of course, a long cold wet spring and cooler summer may have had something to do with that.

I really enjoyed reading your article. I have also noticed a ton more organic fruits and vegetable at the local stores although I try to go to our local farmers market.
