Yes, breakfast is an important meal. But starting the day with a bowl filled with calories or a slice of bread with a mountain of chocolate on it, will not really help you getting healthier nor losing some weight.
I am not saying you should simply skip the breakfast, feel hungry for hours and gain weight with your overwhelming lunch to temper the appetite. No, I just advice some more variation and healthier ingredients. Enjoy your breakfast and be healthier, better, and happier throughout the day.
Energy boost
Besides the boost, it will also improve your physical resistance so you are less likely to catch a flu or a cold.
Yogurt is a source of proteins, calcium, vitamins and is light food. Fruit and oatmeal are also good for the digestion. Furthermore, both will give a energy boost and are rich in fibres.
Mix these ingredients together:
- a small bowl of raspberries
- a banana
- a cup of yogurt
- a dash of orange juice (optional: any other juice that would taste well, or milk)
- two teaspoons of honey
Then add a ladle oatmeal (or muesli) and voila; breakfast is ready!
This breakfast consist of four components:
- a toast with salmon (salmon contains good oils which protects your skin)
- a small bowl of blueberries (keeps the skin young)
- a cup of green tea (protects your skin from ultra-violet radiation)
- a glass of water (carry off the waste)
