If you're always in a hurry, that's no excuse not to snack healthy. Here are a few quick guilt free snacks that will tame that hunger until it's lunch or dinner time!
- Raisins. Yes, they have sugar, but did you know that they are low in saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium? And they are in those little tiny cute boxes!
- Pistachio nuts. Like all nuts, they are loaded with protein and are an excellent source of vitamin E.
- Bananas. Bananas are a good source of dietary fiber, vitamin C and potassium; which incase you didn't know, is excellent for preventing muscle cramps! They are good freshly peeled or stick popsicle sticks in them and freeze them for a frozen snack.
- Hummus. Made from chick peas, hummus is a great alternative protein without saturated fat! You can use it for a dip to dip those fresh veggies in.
- A cookie. Yep, that's right, a cookie! There is no reason to deny yourself an occasional treat when you're craving it! Go ahead, have that Oreo or chocolate chip cookie, just limit yourself to one and it's perfectly fine to indulge. If you can't eat just one, don't keep the bag at home.
