Many foods are said to relieve stress. These include peppermint, almonds, broccoli, fiber-rich cereals, asparagus, green tea, soy milk, oranges, cottage cheese, melons.
Many of these foods are also anti-oxidants, or anti-aging foods.
So if you're feeling stressed, think of these foods. Eat them raw if possible, put them in your salads, your soups, your favorite recipes.
However, because these are foods, eat them in moderation. Don't necessarily depend on them alone to relieve stress.
Discover other stress relievers, like meditation, yoga, and exercises.
Find stress-relieving hobbies, like stamp collecting, coin collecting, bird watching.
If writing helps you to relieve stress, keep a diary or journal. Write. Write. Write. Then rewrite. Do the type of writing that is stress-relieving. If editing relieves stress, then edit.
Music is an excellent stress-reliever. Include it in your repertoire.
Relieve yourself of stress-related thought and thinking, again with meditation.
Best of all, combine all these stress relievers: foods, meditation, exercise, yoga, writing, hobbies, music (all in moderation of course).
