OH&S for a Printer

This is a brief list of standard OH&S (Occupational Health & Safety) which can be (and should be) applied throughout the world.

  1. Must be tested and tagged before use
  2. Never use double adapters
  3. Report damaged power cords
  4. Ensure cables do not travel over walk-ways
  5. Ensure that it is placed on the floor or another stable surface
  6. Allow easy access to controls
  7. Place in an enclosed area to prevent excess noise
  8. Consider the heat emissions of the printer and other equipment
  9. To prevent employees from remaining stationary for extended periods of time, the printer should require the employee to stop sitting and walk to retrieve their work. .
