First things first, if you want to buy a pair of jeans that are in-style, comfortable, and durable, they are going to cost you a little cash. Sure, maybe you'll get lucky and find a steal-deal pair of True Religions at the bottom of a pile of worn out jeans at the Goodwill for only 8 bucks! If you're really lucky, they might even fit you. But when it comes down to the bottom line, the fact is, comfortable and durable jeans from a leading brand name are going to cost you some money. But don't be discouraged there's still ways of finding these types of jeans at a somewhat reduced price, you just have to be on the look out.
Your first option would be to go to a place such as Nordstrom Rack. Last weekend I walked inside Nordstrom Rack and before me was a multitude of tables piled high with various jeans of different sizes and brands. I knew I would have to dig and search and spend some time finding a suitable pair. However, after about 20 minutes worth of searching, I did indeed find a great new pair of Chip-Pepper jeans for $70. Sure that's still a good amount of money but it's quite a bit better than the regular price of $198. It took me some time and effort, but I returned home that day with a very nice pair of jeans from a well-known company and best of all, I saved some cash.
Another avenue you might take is looking for your jeans on ebay
or other similar websites. If you choose to do this, there are some risks. It's best to try on your jeans before purchasing them and when buying them over the internment, this proves difficult. Returning these jeans is a hassle as well. However, if you can find jeans your size and for a good price, you might want to indulge in this endeavor. A friend of mine purchased a pair of Rock-Republic jeans for only 45 dollars off of ebay. They arrived and not only fit perfectly, but were in perfect condition. So yes, there are certain risks in buying jeans (or any clothing for that matter)over the internment, however some very good deals can be made in exchange for some very high-roller jeans.
So keep in mind, if you want to find a fashionable and long-lasting pair of jeans, your going to have to spend some time searching and your going to have to spend a little more cash. But if you take heed of my advice, you may find yourself strutting around in some Juicy-Coutures and still have some money left in your back-pocket.
