The Ultimate Girl Gift: The Facial

Give a Christmas gift to your best-girl or home-girl that'll let her know how much you love her. Carve out some time during the holidays to give her a facial. It will be the one gift she'll be talking about for months.

What can you give a girl who has everything for Christmas? What can you give a girl who has nothing for Christmas? The answer. The same thing, a facial.

Giving a girlfriend or good friend a facial for Christmas is the ultimate hand-ons gift. It will offer you a chance to pamper them during one the most stressful times of the year along with showing that you don't mind giving them one-on-one attention. The other bonus is that you can do it for pennies.

All you need is a comfortable quiet place to sit or lay the gift-ee down, a towel, warm cloth and a few products you can get right out of your kitchen cabinet. To make it even more wonderful, you can dim the lights and add soothing music.

So here's a few home-made facial recipes you can use. The good news is that most of these products can be purchased for under five dollars.

Arm & Hammer Baking Soda. Make a paste with one-half cup of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda and water. Apply this paste to your gift-ee's face and allow to dry. Then, wash it off. The baking soda will clean out clogged pores and exfoliate dead skin. Afterwards, massage in a small dab of baby-oil in order to moisturize the gift-ee's skin.

Domino's Sugar and Johnson's Baby Shampoo. Mix one-quarter cup Domino Sugar, one teaspoon Johnson's Baby Shampoo and one-quarter cup water to make a paste. Massage this grainy mixture into the gift-ee's face. After about ten minutes, wash it off with warm water and follow-up with cool water. This paste will exfoliate and revitalize any skin.

Dannon Yogurt. For a person whose pores are large, use this tasty treat. Slather yogurt over the gift-ee's face (any flavor) and let it sit for twenty minutes. Afterwards, wash off with lukewarm water. Gently, towel dry. You'll see that it works wonders in cleansing skin and tightening up pores.

Elmer's Glue-All. For a gift-ee who'll get a kick out of a unique facial, use this recipe. Making sure to avoid the eye area, slather Elmer's glue all over the gift-ee's face. Let it dry for twenty minutes and peel off. It will exfoliate any skin and leave it baby-soft. Also, since it is water soluble, any residue can be wiped away with a soft cloth dipped in warm water.

Mott's Apple Sauce. Rub this tasty treat all over the gift-ee's face for five minutes and let it sit for twenty-five more minutes. In the mean-while, you can rub your girl's shoulders or feet. Afterwards, wash this sauce off with warm water and dry.

Reddi-wip. For a healthy glow, apply Reddi-wip to the gift-ee's face. Allow it to sit for twenty minutes and was off with warm water followed with cool water.
