Consequences of Teenage Sexual Indulgences

This is the truth about teenage sex. I hope this will prevent some unwanted pregnancies and stop people before they get STDs (sexual transmitted diseases).

Looking around the hallways of our schools you will see girls with gently rounding stomachs due to pregnancies. Some of these girls have more then just pregnancy going on. They have sexually transmitted diseases (or STDs as they are commonly called) to deal with, and whats more is that some may not realize it! I'm not just talking about girls I am also talking about boys. What some teens don't realize is that having unprotected sex can cost them their life. In 2005 there was 138 diseases present and counting. Of these 138 diseases only 30 percent is curable. Well teens are indulging in sex they don't stop to think about the consequences of their actions. Students are often impulsive and imprudent were sex is concerned and that makes me concerned about my generation. The main thing teens are concerned about is pregnancy if that. When girls don't have their period they worry about pregnancy and nothing else.

They never think of the diseases they may have caught or what effect the disease(s) may have on them an those who love them. What upsets me is that a lot of parents don't care for their kids to stay involved with their child or children. Sometimes parents just don't have time for their kids and some parents just don't want to take the responsibility of their kids and tell them the dangers an consequence of having sex. Here is what my parents said when I asked them about sex they said "have all the sex you want just don't come home pregnant". This is what I thought "your more worried about me getting pregnant then you are about my life?" Some teens are under the impression that that condoms will protect them 100 percent of the time from all STDs.

Girls think that if they are on the pill they wont end up pregnant and guys think if they use condoms is totally protected. Well girls and boys I hate to crash the "party" but birth control is only 90 percent effective at protecting girls from pregnancy but it increases their chances of getting an STD. Condoms are only 98 percent effective against pregnancy. Girls some STDs make it so you can't get pregnant. I hope that after you are done reading this article you will make a good judgment on your life however if anyone would like to not have to worry about this then abstain from sex. Abstinence is the only 100 percent accurate way of staying safe not getting pregnant and not getting STDs. Enjoy this article and please keep this information retained in your head, mind, and heart!
