The life of a teenager dealing with the media

The media today is a truly life changing option for the mind of a teenager. They see a form of beauty that is not ideal in the world. As teenagers we all believed that the media was right and if you don’t fit into it then you’re a freak. I am a bigger girl and I know that I felt that way. That I would never feel like an equal because I did not shape into that look. It has changed the society so intensely that everything feels like a lie. It makes a person depressed and saddened by their lives.

It can also be a good thing to let the media have its say. It shows that it’s a fairytale, that no one is that perfect. I know myself that to this day I still believe that I can be beautiful just the way I am. Living life like that is an emotional rollercoaster but I believe that you can pull away from it and still live a meaning and fulfilled life. Never let anyone or anything persuade you to think that you’re not beautiful or sexy. Cause it’s got nothing to do with airbrushing and statistics. It’s what you think of yourself on the inside that shows true happiness on the outside.
