Cure for Obesity

How to tackle obesity in Britain today.

Exercise and healthy eating that is. People in Britain today are, drinking more coffee, watching more television, eating more junk food and drinking less water. These, when done excessively can cause serious problems to your health causing, obesity, irritability, headaches, high blood pressure and early death.

All of these things sound terrible, and are, but there are simple straightforward cures. We are all aware that we need water to survive, but it is fact that only one in ten adults drink a sufficient amount of water each day to stay healthy. Without enough water each day Gudrum Jonnson, author of Gut reaction warns that “waste stays in the system longer and deposits may remain clinging resolutely to the walls of the digestive tract,” which can lead to kidney problems and even gallstones. So before you swallow yet another antibiotic to cure a headache, think again and have a glass of some cool refreshing water straight from your tap.

The problem doesn't only involve adults; as a matter of fact it is the younger generation that is at greater risk. Unhealthy

food and unhealthy living is such a problem for our children that more and more are showing signs of early heart disease. Experts blame couch potato lifestyles, junk food and lack of exercise.

A group of primary school children were surveyed about what they would rather do outside of school, play computer games or play some type of sport. The results were unsurprising, 90% said that they would rather play computer games than sport. We have to teach our children that if they don't start becoming more active in the way they live then their lives will shorten dramatically.

Experts say that getting active isn't as hard as people think; it could start with just thirty minutes moderate exercise each day.

Is the lifestyle of everybody in the country about to change? Maybe not, but perhaps we could make that little bit more effort, taking that salad for lunch rather than a fry up or taking the dog for a run rather than staying in and watching T.V. Not only will we see the benefits physically but mentally as well, feeling happier with our lives.

Exercise not only reduces the risk of heart disease but also is enjoyable for the whole family!
