Easy Ways to Keep Yourself on Track or to Start a Diet

Summer is approaching and it’s the time of the year that everyone wants to look their best in their clothes. Graduations, Weddings, Vacations, or the pool people are trying to slim down a bit to make themselves look better, and feel more comfortable about themselves.

Tell your friends and family about this article to make everyone look and feel a bit better this summer.

Eat one or two fruits and vegetables a day, and gradually get yourself up to the daily recommendation.

When at a fast food joint, do not super-size your order or you will be paying for it.

Do not waste calories on mindless eating. If your watching a favorite show at night don't take the whole bag of chips or the food, just take a serving so you don't end up eating the whole bag.

Start your day off right by eating a bigger breakfast so you eat smaller meals during the day. Never skip breakfast because studies have shown you gain more weight if you do because you eat more throughout the day!!!!!!!!

When your eating out only eat half of your order and save the rest for lunch the following day.

If your in the mood for a dessert share it with friends rather than eating the entire thing by yourself.

Use a smaller plate when eating food to trick your mind and body that you have eaten enough.

When eating a meal eat the salad or the lower calorie, yet more filling foods first so that you feel more full then eating the high calorie items.

Instead of drinking Whole milk, switch to skim milk. You will see the difference in your weight over a year. ( Whole milk has about double the calories, and bunch more fat calories. )

Drink more water throughout the day to fill yourself up and to avoid eating high calorie foods throughout the day.

An easy way to avoid eating a high calorie food or snack is to chew a piece of gum.

Eat lesser calorie soups instead of the fat filled creamy kinds because they both will fill your body up the same way.

Pack your lunch for work so you know what your eating and how healthy it is cause you packed it. Try avoiding eating out at work*if it's a must try to keep it to once a week*

To get more vegetables in your body drink a V-8, or the fruit one instead of high caloric drinks.

If you don't have the time to make a salad, don't worry you can buy pre-packaged ones at the supermarket and enjoy those. Try using fat free or low fat dressings with your salad.

The more vibrant the fruit the better it is for you!!!

When ever you fill the craving for a food you will regret late just think these things:

Do I want to see my children grow up, See my grandchildren grow up???

Avoid eating bagels because a single bagel packs in a whopping 300-500 calories. Try eating a bowl or cereal or a low cal bagel 100-200 calories.

Cereal, fruit, and fat-free milk(skim milk) these all make a good meal/snack anytime

Spice up your plain cereal or yogurt with fresh chopped fruit such as bananas, raisins, blueberries, or strawberries.

When at a party don't sit near the food because your more likely to indulge your self and come back again and again.

Exercise Daily all you need is to fit in a 30 min workout a day.

If your feeling a sweet tooth craving, grab a nice juicy fruit and make that craving go away.

Try brushing your teeth after you finish your dinner to tell yourself I cant eat anymore because I have brushed my teeth.
