Nurture:
As women we tend to feel the need to nurture those around us. Too often, we fail to take the time to nurture ourselves. Dieting is a word we use frequently as we try to maintain a size that we feel is desirable. But the word diet doesn't always refer to a system of losing weight. Our diet is what we consume daily. It is imperative that we love ourselves enough to eat a healthy diet each day.
Plan:
Eating small portions of food gives you the freedom to eat the foods you like. Moderation is a major factor in any dietary plan.
Eating more often than three times a day keeps you from getting hungry and having the urge to grab quick, often unhealthy snacks throughout the day. Eating less allows you to eat more often without over-consuming.
Of course the type of food you choose to eat is a major factor in eating healthy. Vegetables are a good choice. They are not loaded with calories, sodium, or fat.
I have found it is best to refrain from eating at least two hours before going to bed. While this may not be a concern of everyone, I personally feel better if I follow this guideline.
Result:
It is most important to realize that each of us are responsible for caring for ourselves. This means it is necessary that we love ourselves and care enough about our bodies to make as much effort as possible to maintain a healthy diet. Generally, when we eat healthier we feel better and when we feel better we can function much more efficiently in all areas of our lives.
