How I Lost 20 Pounds in Six Weeks

A weight loss program.

I can honestly say I have been trying to lose weight my whole life. I have never been really over weight but I have never been thin either. I am always on the border line with a 27 to 29 BMI (Body Mass Index) for my height of Five Foot Six. Some years I got down to 130 pounds and then I was right back up there at 165. Nothing ever stuck.

And I have done every stinking diet out there. I have taken every stinking diet pill out there. Atkins, South Beach, Cabbage, Fit for Life, Jenny Craig, Med Fast, Weight Watchers, and much more. I have done shakes. I have done colon cleansers. I have done yeast treatments. I have excercised hours a day. I did the water diet. I did the only eat fruit diet. I HAVE DONE IT ALL!

In 2000 I had my first child and then 16 months later I had my second. And 16 months later I had my third. I gained 35 pounds over the course of all three pregnancy's and never really lost all of the weight. I got up to an 18 and pretty much stayed there for about the last 5 years.

Well this year I turned 40 and I decided I have to take charge of my life. I did and I am now reaping the benefits of a great weight loss product and program.

First of all let me tell you about my weight loss program.

  1. I walk 5 times a week 60 minutes a day. I break it up so I do 30 minutes in the morning and 30 minutes at night. I usually walk between 3 to 4 miles.
  2. I make a smoothie every morning for myself and my family. A typical smoothie would be two bananas, strawberries, ice and low fat milk. Just a small amount of milk. Excellent.
  3. I add an excellent antioxidant to the shake called Berry Radical Antioxidant. You can read about it at this link.
  4. I drink 3 liters of water a day. 1 liter before noon. 1 liter between noon and 5pm. 1 liter at night after 5pm. This is hugely important as you need as much water as possible to flush the toxins and fat cells out of your body.
  5. I do not drink soft drinks or diet soft drinks. They make you fat!
  6. At lunch every day I have a salad. Typical salad for me would be spinach or mixed greens. Cheese, tomatoes, red peppers, onions, carrots, sunflower seeds, raspberries. I add a light raspberry vinaigrette. Sometimes a few crackers with hummus to go along.
  7. Around 3pm I have another snack. Could be apple with cheese. Peanuts. Hummus. Vegetables with ranch. Peanut butter. Fruit.
  8. Around 6pm I have dinner which consists of shrimp, chicken, fish and vegetables
  9. I do not use artificial sweeteners. READ MY WORDS! THEY MAKE YOU FAT.
  10. I try and eat all organic foods. The summer is usually easier as I can grow my own food in my garden.
  11. At around 9pm I have my last snack. It is usually fruit with cool whip. Or one piece of chocolate. It satisfies my sweet tooth without going over board. It makes me feel good and I can handle it.

Part of the problem with most overweight people is that are liver is so clogged with toxins it doesn't function properly. Anything that is not from the earth is usually pretty toxic. Did you know it takes 3 hours just to get one can of soda out of your system. It is the same with drinking alcohol or taking medications. If your liver is overloaded and can't function normally than all of the fat gets stored as cellulite through out your body.

I was so thankful to know this as I think I have been taking ibuprofen daily forever. I had no idea I was making myself fat with medication! Not to mention eating fruit and vegetables that are not organic. There are so many toxins on our food we have no idea how bad we are polluting our systems. THIS IS THE BIGGEST PROBLEM WITH TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT. THE TOXINS WE HAVE IN OUR BODY ARE MAKING US FAT!

Now, I have pretty much been doing this program for the last 6 months and definitely lost weight. In 4 months I had lost about 15 pounds. Good Stuff. But, I wasn't losing weight fast because I have screwed up my hypothyglamus, thyroid, and metabolism from years of yo-yo dieting.

Six weeks ago I started a new weight loss product called the Power Patch. I swore I would never use another product again. But a good friend of mine who is a nurse went down 12 dress sizes and umpteen pounds over the last year. So I decided to put my hand again and see if this helped me over the edge.

Well low and behold it did. I have lost 20 more pounds in the last 6 weeks and I know only have 35 more to go. I am so excited and pumped that I am of course telling everyone about it. It has changed my outlook on life and helped many people. I know have many friends on the Power Patch and they too are losing at incredible rates.

Amy try eating grapefruit everyday. Some say the grapefruit juice works but I don't find it very effective. I eat a whole PINK grapefruit at lunch time. For breakfast I'll have whole wheat toast and boiled or poached eggs IF I feel hungry. For supper/dinner I eat a normal meal. But I don't OVER eat. I'm not into junk food at all. And I'm not big on deserts.
My mother did the grapefruit thing ( oh boy that side of the family is huge) she lost up to one pound a day. She was up to 205 lbs at one time. But she was very loyal to this diet. And it was worth it. She looked great when she got down to 135 lbs. No exercise for her. But she was always pretty active, not one to lay on the couch all day. on weekends she would cheat a wee bit and have cake or something else that made her happy.
I believe you can buy the grapefruit tablets at some health food stores and that does re-enforce the battle of the bulge.
Try that with lots of water and let me know what happens.
