Are you tired of struggling just to get into the pants that you swear were too big for you just six months ago? And are you sick of looking in the mirror only to see that your arms are beginning to look like your grandmas with loose skin flopping as you wave at yourself?
Well, then youre not alone. I was one of those people just like you who had put on more weight than I was happy with. I figured that after I had my fourth child the pounds would just burn off like it had before with all the other children, but then reality hit me.
I was in my 30s and was gaining more instead. I had put on 15 more pounds before I realized that I had a problem. I had back rolls, front rolls and was beginning to get the love handles as well. I was ashamed of my own body when I looked in the mirror and decided to do something about it. I came up with a plan, told a family member about it and they decided to join me on my quest to lose that unwanted weight.
Our Plan Was as Follows:
- Drink water instead of sodas, tea and coffee allowing all the milk we wanted and one glass of tea, soda or coffee a day (Just to get that caffeine pick-me-up).
- No snacks like candy bars, chocolate cake or cookies except for once a week (Just to satisfy the sweet tooth) but chips are allowed.
- No eating after 10:00 p.m.
- When eating, only fill your plate once but fill it up.
- Dont eat if youre not hungry, because eating when youre not hungry is just added pounds that you could avoid.
We all have done this. We just sit in front of the TV and eat because someone has fixed something that we like and it is convenient to eat it because its there, not because we need to. - Its ok to pig out at holiday meals as long as you return to your diet as soon as you return home.
When I say holiday meals, I mean just that. Not that every Sunday afternoon meal that you share with your family. Even though that is a special time spent with your family, it is not a holiday celebration.
If you follow these six rules, you too will lose a pound a week. Maybe even more as my family member has.
This plan has proven successful for both me and my family member and we are not starving ourselves, nor are we doing without everything that we love like some diets expect.
